Construction work on the second Azerbaijan telecommunications satellite Azerspace-2 is being carried out according to schedule, reports Trend citing Ramin Guluzade, the minister of transport, communications and high technologies. The satellite is set to launch in mid-2018. France’s Arianespace, which launched the Azerspace/Africasat-1a satellite, will launch the new satellite. The Azerspace-2/Intelsat-38 satellite will be based at 45 degrees East Longitude. Space Systems Loral (SSL) is in charge of construction works on the satellite.
