Air India Appointed New Chairman Rajiv Bansal

According to Personnel Ministry order, Senior Bbureaucrat Rajiv Bansal is appointed as the chairman & CMD of Air India.

Rajiv Bansal, a 1988 Batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre, is at present additional secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Ggas.

Indian origin politician Rishi Sunak is appointed as the UK’s new Finance Minister by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in a Cabinet reshuffle. Sunak, the son-in-law of Infosys Co-founder Narayana Murthy, will join Home secretary Priti  Patel on the top government bench as the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Banks credit and deposits grew at 7.13% and 9.91% to Rs 101.02 lakh crore and Rs 133.24 lakh crore, respectively in the last month.

The RBI’s recent asset recognition norms that allows banks not to treat real estate loans as  restructured for one year is credit negative for Indian banks.
