Prasar Bharati has invited applications from Private Satellite TV Channels to fill up present vacant MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish platform on pro-rata basis for the period 16.08.2019 to 29.02.2020.
Prasar Bharati has allotted slots to three channels on pro-rata basis in the 41st e-auction for vacant slots on free direct to home (DTH) platform DD Free Dish. The public broadcaster has mopped up Rs 21.69 crore in the latest round of e-auction.
The three channels are Hindi GEC Manoranjan Grand and Hindi movie channels Zingaat and Skystar Telugu Movie. Being part of the A+ bucket, Manoranjan Grand has paid Rs 8.17 crore while Zingaat and Skystar Telugu Movie have forked out Rs 6.76 crore, which is the price for the A bucket.
The free to air (FTA) Hindi GEC will launch on 15th August. The test signal of the channel is already on.
Prasar Bharati requested DD National/DD News/DD Bharati/DD India/DD Urdu/DD Kashir/DD Kisan/ DD Sports and All Directors of Regional Kendras to Scroll the message at frequent intervals in English & Hindi for the announcement of allocation of vacant slots.
