The Advocate General informed the High Court on 6th December, 2019 (Friday) that the post-mortem was being conducted at the Government District Hospital in Mahaboobnagar, under the supervision of the hospital’s superintendent and a forensic team from Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. The post-mortem is also being videographed.
The High Court (State of Telangana at Hyderabad) has said that the dead bodies of the four rapists must be preserved for 3 days, till the date of the next hearing.
Hyderabad police registered a case against 4 accused, arrested for the alleged rape & murder of a woman veterinarian on 27th November, 2019 and killed in an encounter on 6th December for attacking the police personnel.
Case under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 176 (omission to give notice or information to public servant by person legally bound to give it) and relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act were registered against the accused.
Based on a complaint filed by the in-charge of police team that accompanied the four accused, the FIR was booked on 6th December, 20019. The advocate-general was summoned and appeared before court after regular hours, at 8 pm on Friday.

All the four arrested accused in the rape and murder of the 25 year old woman veterinarian were killed in ‘retaliatory’ firing by police at Chattanpalli near here on Friday morning, when they were taken to the scene of crime to recover the victim’s phone and others pertaining to the case.
The four men, all lorry workers, aged between 20 & 26, were arrested on 29 November 2019 for allegedly raping and killing the woman by smothering her and later burning her body.
The Centre has asked all states to take every possible steps for the security of women, saying it was the highest priority of the government. The Union Home secretary also mentioned various advisories sent by the home ministry to the states to ensure security of women.
