Google Introduces Lightweight Search App Go Worldwide

Google has made its Go search app available worldwide. This app was available in a few countries but now has been made available on the Play Store worldwide. The app uses only 7MB memory which is way lower compared to the Google Search app.

Google CEO, Sundar Pichai shared the news of worldwide availability on Twitter.

Google Lens which was showcased within the Go search app is a highlight feature that allows users to translate, read and search for words through an image. Lens even translates the words in the image while reading them out loud. The Go search app can also read texts from websites out loud through its AI-based read out loud feature that can read words from a web page while highlighting the words it reads to help the user follow along.

Google Go is a cut down version of the Google Search app which is included in the Android Go OS, the diminished version of stock Android. The app will be available for download on Android 5.0 Lollipop and higher version of Android OS.
