TRAI Issued Order to Broadcasting & Distributors of TV Channels to Report Their Details on Service Provider Portal

TRAI has issued order as on 16th August, 2019 to all Service Providers are required to enter their details like registration number, validity, service area etc. in the service provider portal hosted on TRAI website www.spp.trai.gov.in within 30 days from the day of notification. If service provider has already entered details earlier, they are required to update the details in thirty days.

As per the regulation 19 of the Interconnection Regulation 20 17, every service provider must report, its name, address, contact number, e-mail address and licence/permission/ registration details issued by the Central Government on the website specified by the Authority.

All the Pay/FTA Broadcasters and distributors such as DTH operators, Multi system operators, Head end in the Sky operators, IPTV operators and local cable operators are required to enter their details in the service provider portal.

Further, MSOs, HITS, IPTV operators have been requested to ensure that their linked local cable operator (LCOs) upload their details on service provider portal.
