The Polish public broadcaster TVP has confirmed that its newest channel TVP Wilno will officially be launched on 17th September, 2019.
The channel will be broadcast in Lithuania and aimed at the Polish minority living in specific regions of the country, as well as all inhabitants in those regions interested in Polish culture, history and current affairs.
TVP Wilno’s schedule will initially consist of programming from TVP Polonia as well as content produced specifically for viewers living in Lithuania.
TVP board member Marzena Paczuska said: “We want TVP Wilno to strengthen the sense of identity of Poles living in Lithuania. Our goal is also to develop friendly Polish-Lithuanian relations. It will be the channel that connects”.
