UC Browser Launches UC Drive Cloud Storage Service in India

Alibaba’s UCWeb, which is known for its mobile browser App UC Browser, has announced the launch of its in-app cloud storage service in India. UCWeb claims that its cloud storage app, UC Drive doesn’t take up one’s internal storage and is also efficient and convenient for users.

Integrated into the browser app, UC Drive allows users to store any online downloadable content directly to the drive, with 20GB free storage, without using internal storage or memory card space on their smartphones. The company claims that UC Drive ensures completely secure storage for Indian users.

UC Browser’s cloud storage service comes with a feature called Save to Drive that will automatically save all online downloadable content to the UC Drive space of users. Data saved in UC Drive can later be accessed on any mobile device.

UCWeb acknowledged that India is one of the largest markets for UC Browser. Available in the Indian market since 2009, the company claims that India makes up for about 50% of the global downloads. To further tap this user base, and engage more users from the country, UC Drive brings users an unfettered browsing experience which conserves mobile data and solves storage issues on many devices.
