Puneet Mansukhani has been a Go-Getter with around 18 years of industry experience. His association with the retail industry in India dates back to the time when the debates were more around the survival of the mom and pop stores viz a viz the organised players. With the emergence of retail in the past decade, there has been a major transformation in the way the technology requirements have changed for retailers. From a mere point of sales requirement to inventory visibility, to loyalty, and now to digital, retail probably as an industry, is the largest technology adopter and carries the maximum investment budget as compared to other industries.
Seeing the change and the way retail has grown both within and outside the country, Puneet, with his industry knowledge has been able to help lots of retailers across the globe to help build a robust technology platform for their business, which not only manages their current state process but also covers the future growth.
He has been felicitated as one of The Most Influential Retail Leaders by Asia Retail Congress for the year 2017 amongst the top 100 leaders in Asia, Africa and GCC countries.
Other than the above, EY,under his leadership was also awarded for the Best Technology Initiative for the year 2016 by Asia Retail Congress.
He is a rare breed in the IT solutions space, having sound people management skills, 360 degree business & domain understanding, grasp of technology & products, and great execution focus – a mix, not generally found in his peer group. Has a very strong hold in the Retail & Logistics industry and has helped many corporates take the correct IT decision for their business.
He has been advising various retailers across the globe in building an IT road-map for their business which not only covers the current state processes but is scalable for future expansion as well.
In his current role, he is involved in managing the Retail Technology Practice at Ernst & Young (India). As a part of his current assignment,he has been involved in building the entire Oracle Retail practice from scratch. The practices flourished extremely well and as a team were able to take 100% market share in India for the Oracle Store Solutions. He holds extensive experience with start-ups in business planning, market strategy, sales planning and running independent P&L’s.
In his previous assignments, he has been involved in building quite a few start-ups wherein lots of global best of breed products got introduced to the Indian and the other growing markets. He has been critical in getting some of the large niche product companies to establish their shops in the region. Most of these start-ups give services around logistics and retail.
