After Jio announced its exclusive Rs. 2,200 cashback for 4G smartphones for 22 brands under its JioFootball offer, Airtel has announced a partnership with Nokia’s sole licensee, HMD Global, to offer Nokia 4G smartphones at affordable prices. Bharti Airtel had launched its Mera Pehla Smartphone initiative last year to make budget smartphones more affordable and thus, available to a wide number of users. Airtel has now added Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 to this offer and has made them available with a discount of Rs 2,000/-, bundled with cashbacks from the telecom operator for both the smartphones.
Airtel’s partnership with HMD Global is Airtel’s sixth collaboration under its Mera Pehla Smartphone initiative, which is aimed at bringing affordable smartphones to the market. Previously the company has partnered with multiple smartphone brands like Karbonn, Lava, Celkon, Intex and Samsung to offer low-cost 4G smartphones.
